Books I read and subconscious?
I was thinking. From the books I read I sometimes get to thinking after I read it that what I learned I already knew and it was just common sense. Or maybe I thought that it was common sense coincidentally after reading it when in reality I actually did learn something new. And sometimes I think years after reading any self improvement books or any book in particular that it faded away in memory which it does and I no longer think nothing of it. Or do I actually use the things I learned in those books without knowing and it's coming from my subconscious mind of the things I learned in those books. These are thoughts I have and just curious. What do you guys think?

Tips on image, self improvement, how to be pretty basically?
At the moment, i'm a 16 year old female with very pale skin, size 8uk, us size 4(?), decent figure but longing for thinner thighs and a flatter stomach. Prone to acne. It's in my genes so not much i can do. Long, out of control, curly red hair. Braces, six months left. And i just detest my appearance lately.
It's not like i'm considered ugly, you know, i have that whole, blue eyes, nice bone structure, strikingly artistic and unusual look about me or something. According to other people. But i don't like it myself. My hair, which i dye a winey shade of red similar to what rihanna used to have going on, and trim it because i like my hair long. Overgrown side fringe. I don't like straightening it as it makes it dry and horrid, so i just let it go curly. Only lately, it's been refusing to do that. I guess for a long time now i've been comparing myself to how other girls look and wishing that i could be like that. Trying to exercise, thinking, maybe if i'm a dress size smaller i'll finally have a boyfriend or just someone who has an interest. My makeup, no matter how much i blend, always looks too thick and i just don't feel good. I'm tired of not being looked upon as pretty, disregarded and ignored. Yes, this sounds extremely shallow and despite what you may think, i am, somewhat intelligent and education is important to me, but you know, what's good grades if you're this horrible self conscious thing for your entire life? I want to feel good about myself. :(

Being a better person. The New Year is coming. People makes all sorts of?
Resolutions like to loose weight, stop smoking, stop cursing, etc. I never hear people talk about real important things such as being a better person. I am all about self improvement. Lord knows I need some but I am successful with my self improvements and I continually move forward. What are your thoughts?
