When Life Hits Self Improvement On You

As adults, we reach a point in our lives when we open up to change. A whole new awareness allows us to accept information that will help us to unlock our self improvement power. Until that change occurs, something we need to improve our lives could be staring us in the face, however, we will not see it; even if it is right under our noses. Usually, the key factor that triggers the unlocking of our self improvement power, is when our lives have turned for the worst.

We tend to learn our lessons when we experience pain. We finally open up and see the warning signs when things get rough for us. When is it that we realize we need to change our diet? Well, when none of the jeans and shirts we normally wear, fit us. When do we stop eating candies and chocolates, and going to bed without brushing our teeth? Well, when our teeth start to decay. When do we realize that we need to stop smoking? Unfortunately, it is usually when our lungs have become unhealthy. When do we pray and frantically ask for help? When we realize that we may be on our last breath on this earth.

For some reason, the key time most of us learn to unlock our self improvement power is when our world around us is crashing down and falling apart. We think and feel stress in this because it is not easy for us to change our habit-paths we have set for ourselves. However, change can become even more painful when we choose to ignore it.

Change happens, like it or not. At one point or another in our lives, we all experience turning points… and because of this, each one of us will eventually unlock our self improvement power. Not because the world tells us to. Not because our friends are nagging us to do it. Once set in our ways, we become so stubborn to change that permanent self changes don't happen because we are reading books, or going to classes. Self improvement only happens when we have finally come to a fork in the road that has us realize that improving ourselves is really for our own good.

Happy people do not just accept change, they embrace it wholeheartedly. So do not allow yourself to feel tremendous stress when your life hits self improvement changes on you. Unlocking your power means you are unlocking yourself from the cage of thought your mind sets that says; its just the way I am, I can't change that. Most people program their minds like computers to think that way. That cage of thought is such a poor excuse for people who fear and resist change.

Self improvement may not be your favorite topic, and you may think you do not need to do any adjusting in your life. But improving on yourself can really happen just by taking a look at your world; your environment from a little bit different a perspective at times. You may find you are enjoying the whole process of your life, instead of counting the days until you are fully improved.

Three sessions in a week at the gym would result in a healthier life. That certainly goes towards improving yourself. Taking in self improvement classes, reading enlightning books instead of reading mindless trash can also put you on track to more well-rounded feelings about yourself.

Even visiting with friends and peers can help you take a step back from work and unwind a bit from a negative mindset and feel better about yourself.

When you are enjoying the whole process of unlocking your self improvement power, you will realize that you are beginning to take things lighter, and you are becoming a happier person.

Can i become a more confident person?
In everyday life I am a confident, bubbly person but at work i am not. I am scared of making mistakes. i failed to excel in media relations despite being a good writer because i lacked the confidence to develop key relationships and call journalists. I was bullied at work by management and that dented my confidence further. I fear going back to work because i dont know how to deal with senior staff when they begin to bully me. I am not sure that any self-improvement class or self help book can help lift my confidence. i worry that have a insecure personality and that cant be helped. I see people with less ability but bags of confidence do well, yet i cant get past my own fears.
