This is quite helpful especially when you're to act in a play. A person of low self-esteem would be too conscious of the audience, the director and everything else. But you must understand that your only job is to be whoever it is you're playing. Lose yourself in that and let others worry about the rest.

Reading a lot of self-help books is like having the support of someone who has your best interests at heart. By reading positive remarks and well thought out advice, you'll gradually feel better about yourself and you'll be more compelled to try out new things.

Do you not like when people tell you that you look terrible today?
I've been sick all last week with the flu and I came into school today and some of my friends told me I look like a wreck and someone I don't even know asked me if I was gonna throw up or something..Ha thanks guys that sure is a self esteem booster xD they should atleast lie in my opinion just so you don't feel self conscious,what do you think? kermit I do not care your frog legs will end up on my plate one way or another I don't give a crap what kind of frog you are. :)

Why do I act like this?
I'm not a shallow person, nor am I a horrible person- I just want to know if this is normal or frowned upon... See, I haven't been with a lot of guys, just three, two of which were one night stands and the first was a couple months of sleeping with a guy friend (fwb). I can't seem to look at guys the same way anymore- I used to be the girl who would think about her future wedding, and now, when I see a guy, I start to wonder what he would be like in bed, or how I could get him alone. The guys that I have been with have all been good looking- which is really suprising because I'm certainly not a 10!! I'm more like...a 6 really, maybe a 7, but it is a really great self-esteem booster! Sometimes, I'll start to imagine my perfect guy and for maybe a day or two, I'll feel really good; I'll feel like I can wait for him, and that when I meet him it's going to be awesome. But after a day or two...it sort of fades away. Then I'm back to thinking up plans in my head of how to get some guy or what not (thank god I have awesome friends who don't let me do anything). Is it normal though? I mean, is it okay to just have fun like this and then (if) I meet that guy I would think of, to stop and go for him? Or is there something really wrong with me? Sometimes I think my head is messed up- I was totally in love with the first guy I slept with, but we were friends with benefits and he didn't love me. When I told him, he said he didn't love me, but we continued for another month until he got a girlfriend because frankly, love makes ya stupid sometimes and it did that to me. The second guy had a girlfriend that I didn't know about and the last one was just random. I just can't seem to even picture in my head that a guy can love a girl with all he is... It's so hard for me... What do you think now? Knowing all that stuff, would it be healthier for me to stop all this and focus more on the guy who (sometime in the future,-cross fingers-) I'll meet? Have the "relations" (Or whatever you want to call them :P) tainted the way I look at men?? How can i break that? And has anyone else gone through this?
