Attracting Prospects For Your Network Marketing Business
Have you ever wondered why Network Marketing leader can sign up 25 distributors per month? How they can make a 6 figure income in less than one year? This had been also a question for me. At first I thought knowing the company, product and compensation plan, and goal settings in enough. Most people do that, they'll just present and present door-to-door, chasing prospect but it doesn't work. Still struggling to sign-up new distributors, struggling to find new customers, and no one believes on us except Mom and Dad.
I realized one thing is missing. Leaders have, that we don't have. It's our PERSONAL VALUE. Leaders position themselves that they holding something valuable information and skills which other person do not have. These leaders have value in the eyes of their prospects and you have to convey that value so that prospects will be attracted to you. Because they know that they will gain knowledge and skills from you. Position yourself as the owner of a company. You wouldn't hire a Chief Operations Officer (COO) that doesn't have value.
I remember way back in college, I won in our student council with a landslide votes. It's because people perceive me as leader, a person holding something valuable. Joining different organization outside of our university had increased my personal value.
How can WE increase our PERSONAL VALUE?
Let us identify first, what cause our personal value to stagnate. It all started in our childhood. There are so many messages given to us by our school teachers, classmates, worst is our parents. Words such as "what makes you think you're so special?", "don't be stupid, " "the more you do the more will be expected of you, " "you're nothing but a looser, " "you're a bad-bad boy!" After years of being bombarded with these negative messages, no wonder why our PERSONAL VALUE stagnate. Other effects of these messages, is often compromise with others just to satisfy their needs. In other words become slaves.
Now, let's back to the question on how we can increase our PERSONAL VALUE.
- Count all the blessings that you have received from the past. Write it down on paper or post it on your blog.
- Write down your everyday success. Create your victory journal.
- Create goals, identify its purpose. Make sure that your purpose it not personal because if it personal you have will have the tendency to back out once the hard times comes. Think if you are parent having a child, you will do anything for your child. You will sacrifice everything. I believe that's the heart of parents.
- Identify your uniqueness, don't compare yourself to others.
- Improve your physical appearance. Do exercise. Dress well especially when you are meeting some prospects.
- Associate with positive people.
- Increase your knowledge and skill. Increase time in training. Buy every book you can in Marketing, Copywriting, Selling and Closing, Leadership, Personal Development, etc. If you don't have enough money to buy try to research on the internet. Remember that the true investment on this industry in KNOWLEDGE.
- Increase your experience. Put into practice what you have learned.
