Self Hypnotherapy Overview

Self hypnosis or self hypnotherapy is an amazing technique, it is merely a hypnosis session conducted by and applied on yourself. There are many benefits associated with it but it is mainly applied for improving self-esteem, self-improvement, personal development and bringing positive change in life. For conducting hypnotherapy session you need a calm place where you could relax and focus on the matter. There are many resources available these days on internet where you can download self hypnosis scripts, audio, video & courses etc.

Hypnotherapy is a process of undertaking a person into hypnotic trance and introducing change. Hypnosis itself is not a therapy. It is basically applied to cure behavioral & psychological ailments and therefore called hypnotherapy. In hypnotherapy, different hypnosis techniques are applied to make positive changes in life such as reducing stress, anxiety, phobia, pain, etc.

Some of our behaviors are conscious choice of our own. Some are genetically inherited and some acquired by social, religious or by cultural means. So what hypnotherapy does it completely recharges your subconscious mind. It doesn't eliminate what is in there but embeds completely new positive, proactive statement and finally changes the way you think.

In a typical hypnotherapy session, a therapist communicates with your subconscious mind when you are in a relaxed state. He utilizes the power of your subconscious being and suggests improvements related to persisting problem. This process is done quite easily and effortlessly and it is a lot cheaper than other medical treatments. One of the major advantages of hypnotherapy is it has no side effects whatsoever. Therefore, it is the reason its gaining popularity.

So far we have discovered that it's all about your subconscious mind. Ever wondered, why is that? Actually, our subconscious mind is very powerful. Psychologists believe that 90% of our behaviors were formed at the time when we were 3 years old. Since that age they only gain strength or get weaker depending upon upbringing & events in life. So it is actually quite a task to get rid of certain behaviors.

WHY ONE SHOULD USE SELF HYPNOTHERAPY

Self hypnotherapy is a powerful tool which allows you to get relief from stress, anxiety, and phobia. It also builds confidence, boosts self-esteem etc. One of the major benefits, these days, of self hypnosis is you are not dependent on therapist or if you live an area where such facilities are not available, you can always search for resources available online and get proper sessions done at the comfort of your home.

Few questions that may come in your mind like does self-hypnosis really work? What would happen if something goes wrong? Etc. I would answer them without any hesitation that YES, it really works. You will not be able to understand it until you apply it on yourself and there are no side effects related to it. It's just a form of sleep. What happens? When you are overslept, you simply wake up. So nothing can go wrong in a self hypnotism session.

Books I read and subconscious?
I was thinking. From the books I read I sometimes get to thinking after I read it that what I learned I already knew and it was just common sense. Or maybe I thought that it was common sense coincidentally after reading it when in reality I actually did learn something new. And sometimes I think years after reading any self improvement books or any book in particular that it faded away in memory which it does and I no longer think nothing of it. Or do I actually use the things I learned in those books without knowing and it's coming from my subconscious mind of the things I learned in those books. These are thoughts I have and just curious. What do you guys think?

would you date or marry a poor man?
would possibly all that lack of financial aptitude lead you to go out and try to make it for yourself..and in the mean time he is sexing other people? this is kind of a response to someones question saying the had done all this self improvement to satisfy their partiener, and the guy cheated. can a really independant lady ever find satisfaction in love..maybe she is a narcissist? maybe he dont like her hair color.. or he is bored.. but he shoud have been completely honest. i think it may be that he does go looking for what someone would give away, but then be looking for the same qualities in others. i dont know if narcissistc females make good partners.

Tips on image, self improvement, how to be pretty basically?
At the moment, i'm a 16 year old female with very pale skin, size 8uk, us size 4(?), decent figure but longing for thinner thighs and a flatter stomach. Prone to acne. It's in my genes so not much i can do. Long, out of control, curly red hair. Braces, six months left. And i just detest my appearance lately. It's not like i'm considered ugly, you know, i have that whole, blue eyes, nice bone structure, strikingly artistic and unusual look about me or something. According to other people. But i don't like it myself. My hair, which i dye a winey shade of red similar to what rihanna used to have going on, and trim it because i like my hair long. Overgrown side fringe. I don't like straightening it as it makes it dry and horrid, so i just let it go curly. Only lately, it's been refusing to do that. I guess for a long time now i've been comparing myself to how other girls look and wishing that i could be like that. Trying to exercise, thinking, maybe if i'm a dress size smaller i'll finally have a boyfriend or just someone who has an interest. My makeup, no matter how much i blend, always looks too thick and i just don't feel good. I'm tired of not being looked upon as pretty, disregarded and ignored. Yes, this sounds extremely shallow and despite what you may think, i am, somewhat intelligent and education is important to me, but you know, what's good grades if you're this horrible self conscious thing for your entire life? I want to feel good about myself. :(

John Walsh: Self-improvement is on the rise. At last, a true return to Victorian values

I've been pondering the legacy of Samuel Smiles, the Victorian social reformer born 200 years ago in 1812. He was an interesting cove – a former surgeon who became editor of a newspaper – and he published one of the most influential books of the age: Self-Help. It preached rugged individualism and encouraged people to find their own way in the world, rather than accept their lot. Get off your ...
