Only if you cannot solve the issue on your own, should you take it to higher authorities and speak to your supervisor about your unprofessional coworker.

How can my friend handle a difficult coworker?
My friend has this vocational counselor that he working with. Last month, while asking his counselor to assist him with something that he wanted to do, she said to my friend that he wants someone to baby him. My friend has a disability that somewhat effects his memory and people have a tendency to use that against him and take advantage of it. I'm trying to tell my friend to speak with his counselor about the inappropriateness of the statement whether or not she personally feels that way. What should I tell him?

Difficult coworker question.?
I started a new job (I'm just out of school) about 2 months ago in the engineering field. The job I have works very closely with a partner all day. I've already had enough of him. People in the department said he's "set in his ways" but I think he's a jerk. He talks to me like I'm dumb and is overly picky with everything. I'm not going to quit because this is a really good company. I'm on probation for 1 more month so I'm going to suck it up. What I'm wondering is would it be bad if I asked my boss to switch me departments so soon after I start? It will be clear it's because I don't like my partner because I told them I love what I do. I heard the other department is boring but I'd rather be bored than miserable.

One has tried to make me loose my job several times, while the other co-admin, doesnt do any work but wants to sit in the "position" of head admin because she has been there forever.
